Invisalign 101

A dazzling smile has always been a coveted feature that many people want. Looking for a perfect smile without the time, cost, and look of braces? Invisalign may be an amazing option for you. In this video, the basics of Invisalign are explained.

Invisalign is designed to straighten your teeth discreetly over time.

To be considered for Invisalign, consult with your dentist.

After being examined and approved for the process by your dentist, they will take impressions of your teeth. This is done by filling an impression tray with the impression mold and placing it into your mouth while you bite down. This forms a mold of your teeth and allows for the lab to create the most accurate liners specifically tailored to you and your needs.

The impressions are then sent off for approval, and the Invisalign software begins to plan where they want your teeth to move. After approval, these invisible liners are made. Try on your new aligners and ensure they fit snugly.

Invisalign must be switched out every two weeks, with the liners being slightly shifted to adjust to your teeth. These liners should always be removed for eating, drinking, and cleaning your teeth.
