Got a big first date coming up? If that’s the case, there’s no better time than now to pay attention to your oral health. After all, almost 100% of adults view an attractive smile as their most important social asset. Additionally, it is one of the top things that people find attractive in the opposite sex. To help make your oral hygiene something worth kissing, follow these steps to a crushable smile:
Step One: Brush Your Teeth
Though this might seem obvious, you would be surprised how many people fail to brush their teeth twice a day. That being said, you should be doing so a minimum of twice per day with a fluoride toothpaste that will help to keep both plaque and cavities at bay.
And don’t forget to brush you tongue! Many people think that simply brushing their teeth is enough. However, a great deal of odor and bacteria linger on the tongue. That being said, tongue cleaning products help to scrape bacteria from the surface of the tongue, making breath fresh and pleasant.
Step Two: Floss
Food, bacteria and plaque linger in the tight pockets between our teeth. The only way to remove these particles is by flossing. For easier maneuvering, try using dental flossers.
Step 3: Whiten
White teeth are indicative of a healthy smile. So make those chompers as pearly white as possible by regularly brushing your teeth with a whitening toothpaste. Additionally, you can schedule an appointment with your dentist to get your teeth professionally whitened.
Step 4: Gargle
Regularly gargling and rinsing with mouth wash and water will ensure that any loose debris and bacteria in your mouth are eliminated. It’s best to gargle after using dental flossers.
Step 5: Avoid Stinky Foods
Vampires aren’t the only ones who hate garlic! Avoid heavy, stinky foods like garlic and fish before a date to keep your mouth as fresh as possible. And don’t smoke! Good references.
