The importance of a good smile permeates throughout the lives of most people. In fact, 99.7 percent of adults believe so within the social atmosphere, according to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. More importantly so, 74 percent think it goes even further by hurting them professionally whether it is a job interview or their standing in the workplace, according to the same American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
What can you do to help your smile? First and foremost, get a new toothbrush. Three out of four people do not even realize how often their toothbrush should be replaced. Now that you have bought a new toothbrush, or a few to replace down the road, it is time to brush! Twice a day, at least, according to the American Dental Association. For parents, it is good if your children have a good habit of brushing their teeth, however, you should continue to spot them until they are at least 10 or 11.
